My trimmer head will bot come off

i bought my cub cadet weed eater last september 2020. ive only used it a handful of times . the metal ring broke off of the original head so i ordered a new head. major problem now the original head will nit come off and simply trying to remove it exactly as demonatrated online ive busted up my base shaft where the head connects . im at a loss to what to do now . please help
