Closed amenities without notice

Athens, Ohio. I was never notified, until check in, that the pool, fitness center and dining area for breakfast would be closed. The clerk asked if I knew. Then asked how I made my reso. I made it on line. Her response was oh that’s why. To me this makes no sense. Isn’t it extremely easy to alert guests of the closings upon booking on line? We chose Fairfield for exactly those three reasons: pool, fitness center & hot breakfast. I understand the virus situation but not to be told upon booking and having a choice of different properties and price points is not okay. M hahn
