WSJ mail delivery is totally unsatisfactory

1

For years, I have been giving a gift subscription of the WSJ print edition to a friend who is in federal prison in Anthony NM. Despite occasional delivery glitches, my friend derived much pleasure from his subscription. However, last month WSJ decided to stop delivering the print edition to several postal codes, including Anthony NM. Since prisoners cannot access the WSJ digitally, the only option left was delivery by US postal service. And that has proved totally unsatisfactory. The mail edition arrives erratically, out of order, sometimes as much as 3 weeks late, sometimes with 4 issues batched together. As if that wasnt bad enough, the mail edition appears to be printed on inferior paper with not enough ink - in short, it is almost illegible. Surely the WSJ cannot be proud of this? User's recommendation: If they offer you a ‘mail’ subscription, don’t bother.
