To warn customers of the terrible customer service so they can save their money
1
I purchased a wall decoration for above my television. I wasn't sure if it was the right size but, since I was there, I decided to buy it and try it. I figured if it was too large, I was able to return it without an issue. Upon taking it home, I realized it was way to large and there was no where in the house for me to put it (things tend to look smaller in the store). I went to the store to return the sign only to be told it was a "green tag" item and I was unable to return it. The cashier told me when I bought the decoration that the employee should have told me but she was unable to return it. Had the original employee told me I couldn't return this, I would have went home and measured first. I am now stuck with an item that I cannot use and have no one to give it to. I contacted customer support to see if this could be resolved only to basically be told "oh well, they should have told you but they didn't." To be told green tag items are not returnable until after I purchase the item is absolutely unacceptable. I have never purchased a green tag item from Kirklands before so I had no idea these items were nonreturnable. I would have even been okay with store credit to make up for the employees lack of knowledge. I will NEVER shop at a Kirkland's store again. Extremely rude customer service that are not interested in helping. User's recommendation: DO NOT SHOP AT KIRKLAND'S.
