Can’t get something as simple as account password change

I am changing passwords for all my accounts. As I tried to change Coxs I get a dialogue saying Hmmm, somethings not right. Try again or contact customer service. I tried many times. Contacted service by chat twice and a phone agent. NONE could help me get it done and none had an answer as to why I cant do it on line. They keep generating mew passwords NONE OF WHICH I WANT and I cant even use my original password now. I dont understand such incompetence. I dont understand why the system, wont let me generate my chosen account password. I am am so thoroughly frustrated that we will switch service providers when we return to AZ. User's recommendation: Do not expect Cox to resolve simple matters dealing with an account password tells me we can’t expect them to be consistent in solving other matters.
