Many local optometrists that were hometown friendly, honest business persons have been gobbled up by the My Eye Doctor conglomerate that is now raising prices many many times over and totally screwing the patients. BE SURE TO PRICE their services BEFORE committing to ANYTHING!! In many cases the prices are 2-3 times what they have been for years. Then they add all kinds of misc charges that never were charged at previous visits. In many cases the staff is the same and they are just as nice as always but have to take the brunt of this dishonest organization that now is attempting to purchase and control the whole market in many small communities.
