I am in Ecuador - in October 2019 I purchased an LG microwave (model MS1536GIR) from an authorized dealer for $190. In February of this year it stopped working (16 months). After some quest I found an authorized repair service. The repair service wants $193 to repair the unit - which is still available to purchase for $190 from the dealer. The repair service says it failed because of rust. My last microwave lasted nine years and did not fail because of rust. This unit was installed correctly. Aside from the idiotic irony of purchase/repair cost - a microwave should last longer than 16 months. User's recommendation: Don't buy this microwave.
