Don’t use Accredo — EVER
1
I'm new to Express Scripts (regular prescriptions) and Accredo (specialty pharmacy) and so far it's been a nightmare. Accredo dispenses my MS drug (an injectable) and I've been trying to get a handle on the cost. For this you need to have the patience of a saint. I keep getting different prices from different people and when I call back to verify the cost info, I can't do it. Accredo has a nifty way to doing this -- they don't enter any info into the system so when I call back to verify anything there's no record of what info I was given! For the drug I'm on (Copaxone), the cost varies from $4400 for the brand name and $310 for the generic (glatirimer acetate). My new prescription is for the generic, but even there the prices I've been quoted aren't consistent and have varied from $310 to almost $500. As I've said earlier, I won't be signing up for Accredo next year.
