Accredo Poor coordination

Accredited is a mandate from express script .patients are required to use it and therefore poor coordination leads to breaches in medication supply. Ongoing loss of physician orders and patient communication is pervasive. Automated systems are barriers in acceptable communication. I am presently changing meds to avoid using accreditation. Unfortunately Accredo is the specialty pharmacy Cigna contracts with to dispense certain medications. It took 12 calls to get a medication shipped. From prescription date to shipping date was 6 -7 weeks. Total and complete incompetence. Someone from Accredo tried to get a prescription in my name,,,,lucky for me my doctor asked me about it. Soooo no go person who tried and oh yes it was for Botox! User’s recommendation: Nope!

When you make a call expect to be on the phone no less than 20 minutes. Be prepared to make at least 3 calls for the same prescription. However, this last time it was 6. Impossible to make one call to get anything resolved. Have to provide them information multiple times per call. Get transferred several times and then put on hold. I did the best I could in a bad situation. The system needed to be improved for employees to answer the customers questions quickly and not having to guess, ask for help and spend a lot of time looking for the answers. I was almost 90% sure of the answers I was giving…

Making it very hard for me to receive my meds. An employ said they hold up meds in case the patient dies then they are not out the money. User’s recommendation: There is no help, be patient because this company is so big it doesn’t care.
