Took my money, delivered nothing
1
I ordered a table from Plaid Mill in November. Their emails were always very friendly and apologetic for the delays, but after over 3 months of waiting, I started to do research online and realized that others had the same problems. When I asked for a refund, I got silence in return. They are an existing company, they have made furniture in the past, they are in Missouri. They do not have a phone number--what appears on their website is something google web commerce gives subscribers: it isn't an actual business line. I now understand that commerce laws require business to offer a refund if they have gone 10 days over their promised delivery date. They never did this, and their refund policy is not in writing on their website. The fact that they kept sending me emails saying my piece was in progress, it would take another week, etc. makes it even harder for the credit company to dispute the charge. Dishonest people.
