I received a bill 1-19-19 for rehab care in October. The bill is outrageous. I paid my surgeons bill for total knee replacement $517.00. I owe the hospital $75.00. And Kindred is billing me for around $2000. I was never informed of there cost to me. I work in healthcare and to pay $195.00 for 30 min that a nurse stopped by is ludicrous. They never told me that there was a cost or what that cost would be. I will be having my other knee replaced and Kindred will not be my provider. I work in the hospital and I will let everyone I come in contact with know about this. I have been an RT for 43 years and I will take my own temperature and blood pressure next time because that is all they did. People please be aware! They need to let people know their approximate cost prior to coming in. Even your mechanic has to inform you up front. I could have decided whether I wanted your services or not. I was not given this option. I was able to choose my out patient rehab by knowing the cost to me.
