My phone and another customer’s were stolen in the store

I went to Mr Price Newtown Junction to return my online order(Order no:**********27).It was past 5 to 6 in the aftrer work.I passed by Mc donalds to fetch order and i asked the manager Joyce how long will it take to prepare my ice cream because i wanted to go to Mr Price before they close.She said 7 minutes and i checked my phone nd it was just before 5:30. I took my phone and put it in my pocket and left for Mr Price. I gave the security my parcel and went around the store to look for the items i wanted to return.I went to the till and exchnged and when i wanted to check if the dresses i bought were on sale or not so that they can get the actual amount that i had to be credited that is when i noticed that my phone was missing.I went around the store where i had been and didnt find my phone.I went back to the cashiers and asked the ladies what can i do because i know that when i came in the store i had my phone, while i was still panicking and looking for my ohone around the tills another lady came in and said her phone is also missing and she is sure that it was stolen in the store. The manager of the store was so dismissive and didnt want to entertain us, she just said our phones were not there.We went out of the store to go to the police station but then turned back to get the details of the manager and to confirm with he tht there is noting she could do then because chances are if the phone was taken by one of her staff we wont get it because the store was closing. The manager told us that we were not the first people to lose items in the store nd that they are not responsible.She said and i qoute that "we enter Mr Price at our own risk". We asked her to check the cameras and she said they dont have them and that majority of their stores do not have cameras.She also said their own stuff get stolen and they have no way of recovering them as the store doesnt have cameras. She said they are just employyees and not owners. She called the area manager who also said that we enter their sote at our own risk.i asked her to if that it the case there should be a notice on the wall warning us of it so that one is aware that should anything happen to the customers they will not be responsible. We left and went to the police station and were advised by the police to block the phones with our servoce providers and get 2 reference numbers that we will be able to open the case with. i will never ever shop at Mr Price ever again because they clearly dont care about their customers.
