This hotel was very disappointing. There were cigarette buttes around the front entrance. The front entrance mats were filthy, sticky with gum. The lobby had an unpleasant odor that caused my sister to have an immediate asthma attack with wheezing and coughing. Our first non-smoking hotel room on the first floor was worst than the lobby. It smelled like stale cigarette smoke that forced my sister to not only leave the hotel room, but the hotel entirely because she could not breathe. Once she was able to breathe, I requested another non-smoking room. The front desk clerk stated that she was not sure if there were any 100% non-smoking rooms in the hotel. Even though, the hotel website advertises non-smoking rooms. However, she did reassign me and my sister to another non-smoking room on the second floor. The floor in the elevator was sticky, and it smell funky like a gym locker room. The hallway on the second floor smell funky too. The second hotel room also had the stale cigarette smell, but it was not as strong as the first room, but still caused my sister to wheeze and cough. I went to the bathroom; tub, sink, and floor were filthy. The sink drainage was incredibly slow. It was 1:00am so we stayed the night and checked out and moved to another hotel. The drama trying to get another hotel through Wyndham rewards points is another issue that upset me. I went through several online Wyndham customer care representatives who did not really help me. Finally, I spoke with Angel, who was pleasant, attentive and assisted me in cancelling the reservation at Microtel hotel Inns & Suites. And Angel helped me make a reservation at La Quinta Inns & Suites in Duluth, Ga. This hotel was clean, inviting and a smoke free hotel.
