First, I should admit I am not so super knowledgeable about tecnicalities on computers. However, I bought an Acer aspire laptop 5738 series at Dubai last May 2009. On June, I suddenly experienced something is wrong, the screen went blank with just a cursor on the upper left. so i run the recovery disk, and reinstalled everything. It went okay until sometime in July it said "disk failure". Its so disappointing. I am from a far province in the Philippines and its kind of costly to go to manila where the ACER Philippines was located. Nevertheless, i had it brought there today and Acer Service Provider said some sparepart of the laptop was defective and need to be replaced. the most frustrating/disappointing is that i have to buy the sparepart (which is very costly too)! For what is warranty then? When i inquired about its warranty, i was told that i should bring the laptop to Dubai so that i won't pay for the sparepart. Be informed that traveling expenses back and forth to Dubai & Philippines would buy me a two new laptop. I regretted i bought this laptop. it totally waste my hard-earned money.
