my husband retire from PANYNJ . Prudential offered to "convert" his life insurance policy to a whole life policy which after age 85 you retain the coverage but don't pay any more monthly premiums. sounds good, yes? NO-they wanted 8000 per year for 215000. by 85 he would have paid more than the policy is worth. even with todays abysmal interest rates (thanks repugs) he would make more money by putting it in the bank or literally any where else. I worked for Prudential so I already knew they were thieves, but really, this is ridiculous
