We have been customers of Travelsmart since 2015, when we went to Royalton Punta Cana for vacation and during our time, were presented with a “great” option to continue vacationing within the Royalton chain of resorts. We have traveled with our membership 4 times with our 5th trip scheduled for next month, and have LITERALLY had an issue when booking every trip!! Our issues started on our first trip, when we found out we purchased a package that gave us stays in rooms far less the quality of the room presented in the sales pitch and were told the package we purchased would only affect the amount of yearly vacations we could go on. Moving forward we knew to request specific rooms and pay more/utilize “special or bonus” weeks in order to compensate the difference incurred with the upgraded rooms, however on our 2 previous trips we had to have our room changed at arrival, after being put in a room different than what was promised by the agent! We have tried to communicate or issues with the customer service agents at the call center, which has proven to not work and have not been able to get a manager on the phone at ANY point!! From a person who has booked travel through various channels, I can tell you, WITHOUT a doubt, there are better deals to be found via online websites or travel agents vs the “member price” and I am yet to have any issue on a level near the ones I continue to experience with TS!! Unfortunately for us, we paid a good chunk of money to tie ourselves to this company for a 15 year period, and hope I can save at least one person the headaches me and my family have experienced by posting this review!! If you really want a vacation membership, do some research prior to purchase, there are some GREAT ones out there, this just isn’t omen of them!!
