Unacceptable and unprofessional

I arrived at 11 to the hotel and checked in. They charged my card and I signed all paper work and said room would be ready at 3pm. When I returned after 3 pm there was 3 employees behind the counter not doing anything. I had to get their attention to even acknowledge that they had 3 people waiting. They had flip flops on and did not even look like employees. Turns out one of them was a manager, Nick and 2 other female employees. One of the female employees said the girl who checked me should have never done so. They didn’t have enough staff to clean the rooms therefore, I had no room. I was so upset but kept my frustration inside until they told me if we don’t have people to clean the room there is nothing they can do. At that point i was so upset and speechless looking at the other coustomers in line who could not believe it as well. They had the nerve to to tell me they could give me a room card but they didn’t know if the roomwas clean. I said so I’m paying for a used dirty room? They proceeded by saying they didnt have enough staff and that person checked out late....but heres your key. WTF. I am writing a letter to the CFO, CEO and their marketing department! This is unacceptable. I would love for them to pull the video of today’s event and see for themselves how ugly, rude and unprofessional their employees talked to me. This occurred May 23, 2108 @ about 3:40. I will be pursuing this further as The manager never apologized for the inconvenience nor did he everget up from behind the counte. He remained sitting down and said nothing other than shrug his shoulders.
