Brought my Autistic son to see the pediatric eye dr for and exam. Exam which is covered 100% on insurance. instead they billed us $384.18 claiming it was a special exam, yadda yadda. Thats not what i brought him in for. I brought him to get an eye exam because hes complaining of blurred vision and headaches and he was due for an exam. They are refusing to fix this and ive talked to them multiple times about it. This is wrong. We are never going back. In fact i had resolved to never go back after my primary Dr tried to kill me a few years back, but i was desperate to find a Eye dr that was highly recommended for autistic children. My son is 12 and has never had a complete eye exam because no Dr has been successful. I should of just stayed away. This one cost me money I shouldnt have to pay, thats why i have over priced health insurance, so i shouldnt have to pay for the basic routine services. BAD BAD BAD billing practices.
