Meaningless Warranty

I have a Dirt Devil product which stopped working within 9 months after I purchased it. I did not keep the purchase receipt because I registered my product; the serial number, merchant, and purchase date was recorded. When I contacted Dirt Devil with the product problem, they insisted I produce the receipt, although they already had that information. They just did not want to honor the warranty. NEVER BUY A DIRT DEVIL PRODUCT!!!! User's recommendation: DO NOT BUY DIRT DEVIL PRODUCT!!!
