Faulty Wiring (converse,TX)

1

You are not the only one with wiring issues from a Meritage Built home. I have been having issues with my main GFI in the garage since move in: I called Meritage in the beginning and they told me I would need to call my own electrician, in the beginning after build mind you. I continued to have problems until this last linty when my backyard plug actually burnt. The electrician came out and told me I was lucky that it showed signs of “burn”. Upon further inspection all the GFI s are wired too small to hold the watts needs to supply the home. He told me he could replace the GFI and breaker but the problem will continue and it is a potential fire hazard and it is just time. It will all need to be rewired. How can this be to code, and how can they not be held liable for putting families in harms way?
