Service reconnection

I waited for more than 1 hours to speak to customer service, no one answering the phone. Just computer repeating the same word thousands times. Worse service ever. User’s recommendation: Find another company if available.
We need to disconnect our service because we are moving. We tried to do this online, however, page says there is already a service request. It says we must call to cancel service, yet NO ONE WILL ANSWER THE PHONE!
There is no reason for customers to have to wait long, long times for Washington Gas to answer their phones. They need to hire more operators.
