*** 2nd remote doesn’t work

I received a 2nd remote because my first one, only being with ROKU for two months, was eating through batteries every two &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; 1/2 weeks.
