Employees don't know how to greet and be polite

Every time I go to this fast food restaurant to order food, I start a conversation with a polite greeting on a good or good evening, In 8 months, I have never received such an answer, only the standard drink? sauce? will it be all? And that's all. Is it really that hard to be polite and greet? Isn't it taught at work? I work with clients and greet everyone completely, it is not difficult for me, but it has been taught from childhood. Please instruct your staff to be polite! Thanks!
