My Mother-in-law had some cognitive issues. She had designated me as her financial POA. We started calling Synchrony in regards to erroneous charges, misapplied payments, interest charges and late fees on her accounts. After 4 months we finally thought we had it sorted out and they sent a bill on the account we verified as closed in March with a payment reversal (They decided to reverse the payment and send a check???) and a vendor charge that should not be allowed on a "closed account". Why would you reverse a payment and send back a check and put the balance back on the card? User's recommendation: RUN AWAY AND NEVER OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH SYNCHRONY.
