Worst customer service bar none. They treat loyal customers like dirt – to be swept away

1

i have used Corel for many year and until about 2 or so years ago it had reasonably good customer service. No longer. Not only that they have a seriously defective activation system that seems to be deliberately set up to make multiple activation behind my back then claim I have activated it too many times. I suspect it was caused by a buggy trial version of X9 that after the trial was up refused to in-install. I eventually had to get a third party uninstall program to get rid of it. Suddenly my X7 demanded I activate it. OnLine activation wouldn't work. I raised a support ticket. Instead of someone sorting out this bogus multiple activation problem all I get it robotic parroted cut and paste answers saying I have exceeded their activation limit. What makes me so annoyed is it is the COREL SYSTEM that has done these bogus activation. I have been going round and round in circles with inane, badly trained parrots in their support centre (preumably in India) who dont seem to have the first clue how to read or understand clearly written English, dont want to sort out the primary cause of the problem (cranky activation system) nor provide any solution other than a parroted reply that tey only solution is to upgrade. How in the world can I have confidence that if I shell out good money the problem wont happen again? Many reviewers have had the very same problem. Their software locks out demanding an activation - then being told it has been activated (unknown to them) multiple items. Well folk with such shoddy software, and unbelievably bad so called customer service couple with a management that just couldn't care less that they are losing a massive number of formerly loyal customers over this issue - my software money will certainly NOT be wasted on Corel in the future. After 25 years with them if this is the way the treat customers I will treat them the same way. I wont bore you with all the details of the appallingly BAD so called customer services., I have just finished my last e-mail to them suggesting the person looks for another job and along the way learn how to give proper customer service. Corel wont be in business a long time with a customer policy like this. Many software and other companies have hit the dust over the years because of similar problems in the way they have treated their customers. Corel is rapidly going the same way
