Problem with ARRIS Modem/Router/Gateway Surfboard (SVG2482AC)

The unit showed some problems for the past three weeks or longer. Specificity, it would drop the Internet connection, and required a re-set to get it started again. However, during the past Memorial Day Weekend the Modem outages became critical making the unit unreliable, and for the most part unusable. On Saturday the unit was down and several attempts to reset the unit to no avail. That night at about 9PM the Modem connected to the Internet, and I used it for over one hour. The next morning (Sunday) the unit was down again. All efforts to restart the unit were unsuccessful, and the unit was useless the entire day. Monday morning the unit was still down, and I contacted COMCAST, and the Technician tried to restart the unit, but he was unable to make an Internet connection. I rented a Modem from COMCAST, and it works fine. I purchased my Modem from Walmart on December 22, 2020, and received it December 28, 2020. I need a replacement for my Modem which is faulty. In addition to my e-mail, I can be contacted by telephone at (304)-596-****. Your response will be appreciated. The unit was new when I purchased it. Gary L.
