People have difficulty hearing me speak

I purchased an iPhone XR and bought a lifeproof case for it. It has been extremely frustrating talking to people on the phone because every caller can barely hear me speak so I have to remove the case everytime just so they can hear me. This was an expensive case and I am not thrilled with it
