Not worth the risk unless you have a secure backup you can restore from
I've used ReImage in the past (some time ago) and found it to be very good....... until now! Yesterday, I purchased the product, not because I had any major problems but as a 'cleanup' facility. Everything went well during the repair until the 'REBOOT' button. After pressing that, the software informed me that it would access locked files. Almost done. I then had a blank screen which went through the night with no change. I tried manually to load the system but after attempting to open windows, was always followed by a blank screen. Took my laptop to a repair centre and after they examined it, I was told that the windows system has been corrupted to such a degree that all they could do was format the C drive and re-install windows. That went well but I've lost lots of my software, some of which I have to pay for. I'm gradually recovering but it's going to take time (and cash) to get back what I had. 40 dollars to crash my machine and give me major headaches.
