I bought two recliners. There was a slit on the arm of one of the recliners shortly after purchasing these two recliners. It definitely was a defect because Furniture Care Protection came and repaired that one recliner. Now the second recliner has a slit in the exact same spot that the first recliner had. You can tell they are not putting enough padding to keep this part from slitting. Vickie from Furniture Care Protection called me and told me the second recliner was not covered and they would not be repairing the second recliner. It's definitely not wear and tear on these recliners. I will never do any business with this company EVER again. By the way, Vickie was very rude and definitely doesn't need to be in a customer service position.
