My wife went to Huntington Bank today to close out a small savings account that she had held for several years. The balance was approx. $1,000 when she requested to get her money and close the account the teller responded that she could not give her the money. My wife was exasperated and asked why only to be told that tellers were not permitted to close out the accounts and that there was no banker there to close the account. My wife asked again for her money and again was told that she could not get it. She unfortunately did not inform me of this until I arrived home from work.at which time the bank was closed. Today she will go back and again attempt to get her money if they fail to give it to her we will.get a.police report and let the legal process begin. It appears that perhaps Huntington continues to out do itself in customer service and not has entered into fraudulent and deceptive practices in order to cover for their lack of financial stability
