I was at the Halifax emergency room for 2 nights. On a positive note, I'm OK, so thank you. My situation wasn't immediately life threatening, but my experience at this hospital was scary as to what would happen if it were more critical.The hospital seemed disorganized and non-responsive to patient. The only doctor I saw was for 1 minute upon admission. After that, I never saw any doctors. They did several tests, but no one ever told me the results. The nurses didn't know much and there were no doctors to tell me. The paperwork that I received upon release, didn't include even what tests were done, let alone what the results were. After I was feeling well, they wouldn't release me, with the excuse that some doctor hasn't yet read the results of some tests. I had to call administration and yell at them to get released. While there, I heard nurses complaining about other staff members. Over 2 nights, no one offered a tooth brush and any means of hygiene.
