Get their money anyway you can.

Received a no interest loan on a zero turn mower i purchased from Sheffield bank. First payment due Jan 1 so i make the payment Dec 5th. Due to my screw up in writing down the wrong routing number the payment didn't go through. I fixed the issue and submitted another payment on Dec 10th that clears no problem. I check my online account with Sheffield and see that they have added a $40 charge for a late payment? Mind you this is all before the initial due date. I call them and am told the late payment fee was for my first payment that didn't go through. They acknowledged receiving the second payment way before the due date of Jan 1. I told them that this late charge was unacceptable because they did receive my payment prior to its due date and i wanted to appeal it. The girl puts me on hold for maybe 3 minutes, comes back to the phone and says your appeal was denied??? WTF. These moronic businesses don't seem to understand that a BS $40 late charge will end up costing them much much more is loss of customers.
