Frustrated – Don’t fall for their crap
1
I opted to use phobio for a trade-in on 2 phones. 1st, they sent two boxes that look nearly identical. I FINALLY find one of the 3 numbers on the box that matches what looks like a confirmation number and package the phones with the appropriate boxes. Send them off and await my $170 or so I was promised. I first got an alert that "find my phone" was enabled - I had overlooked that and got it disabled on both phones. I continued to receive emails that find my phone was disabled, even after it had been disabled for over 48 hours AND I had confirmed on their website to re-check. Just now, I received 2 emails on my phones. 1st phone: serial number doesn't match, so revised value is $0.00. 2nd phone: serial number doesn't match and mysterious charging port damage which... wasn't present when we shipped the phones. Guaranteed some employee mixed up the two serial numbers at some point - or perhaps I matched the wrong random number on the outside of the shipping box? It's possible I made a mistake, but I went to painful lengths to ensure I had things correct. Either way, adjusting the value of my phone to $0.00 and providing NO method to communicate? No thanks. F right off. I'll sell the phone on my own or take to my local AT&T store and get a fair price. What an absolute ripoff and joke of a company. I've let Apple know I think phobio is a HORRIBLE representation of their company. User's recommendation: Sell to mobile provider or on your own. Waste of time with these jacklegs.
