Front Desk Needs Customer Service Training

1

I was checking in and Your employee, Michael was helping me. Another guest came to the front desk and was obviously upset about his keys not working. He was working with the young lady who was working with Michael was working with him. The other guest was not happy but was not out of control and was asking why he had to make multiple trips to the front desk. For some reason, Michael got involved with the other guest, telling him he was being rude and threatened to make the guest leave. The other guest said asked if he was really going to kick him out over the keys being messed up and Michael said, “Yes I have that power!” The other young lady put her hands on Michael’s chest, appearing to hold him back, telling him, “Michael, no! I’ve got this.” I’m not sure what else Michael said but the other guest was more obviously upset but did not engage further with Michael. The young lady got his keys and he left. Michael helped me and I went to my room. The fact that Michael said that he “had the power” and that his co-worker has to tell him “no” while holding him back made quite an impact on me. It made me question my decision to stay at this hotel.
