Drivers refuse to cooperate and willing to abandon group difficult situation

We booked SMC for a group trip for 50 people from Manchester - London and had a terrible experience. At our agreed pick up time the driver informed us that the road was closed and that he would not be able to pick us up from the location. I informed the driver that the road was now open and that we could not move as we had a number of people still missing who would not be able to find us. The driver would not accept this, slamming down the phone and refusing to speak to me. This left me with 50 people stuck in London unsure of how we were going to get home. After some calling around to the wider company the driver was convinced to try and come and pick us up after which it only took his 15 minutes to reach us. The driver did not apologise for his mistake instead making no effort to speak to us for the entire trip home. The handling of this incident was highly unprofessional and so I would not recommend this company to anyone.
