Hi, i am currently in the process for buying a house, haven't close yet but need heat so as to do a inspection and stuff, Consumer energy send me a estimated bill for $325. That was 02/24/10, i called and the costumer rep. told me either me or my neighbor have a dog that is causing their reader from getting to the meter,( yea, in the middle of winter there is a dog outside causing this person not to do his job), she said they estimate the bill from the previous owners account, and that i should pay the bill, then query it after. even though i tried to explain to her we haven't even closed on the house yet, and that there is no-one living there, she still think that the best way to salve this problem is to just pay the bill.
