Closing accounts: jc pennys and amazon

Both my JC Penny's and Amazon credit cards were just closed as of 04/15/21. Neither card was delinquent in fact had just made the payments on both cards. The credit reporting agency indicated that both accounts payments have been paid 100% on time. Received a letter indicating that the accounts were closed for do to the possible risk of not paying on the accounts. I have had the JC Pennys card since January, 2020, yes the balance is high I used it to by gifts for great grand children because their mother's job was affected by the pandemic. But yet I kept the account current doing these uncertain times. I don't know what else would show my credit worthiness especially with the pandemic is that of paying these accounts in time. That should tell you about my credit integrity and character. I'm just sorry that who ever is making these decisions is not looking at the impact/results of their decision.
