The long and short is we purchased the package (2 - 7 day cruises or 1 - 15 day cruise, $1,100 "cash back", and 1 week at a resort anywhere in the world) not being told that basically all we were purchasing for our $4,000 was a discount on the cruise or resort. Trying to talk with their reps only sounds like "double talk." We have booked a cruise for 15 days and to pay for it they gave us a price, which flipped us out, said we could use the $1,100 they were giving us toward it and then we would still owe $841.75. WHAT! We then checked on a week in Maui. They gave me a name of one of their resorts and we checked to see what it would cost if we rented a week there direct. When all was said and done the cruise and resort stay would cost $600 more than if we had done them both ourselves directly. Such a rip off. We are going to book a week close to home just to get rid of RCI. We agree with all the negative statements and would strongly suggest if you haven't bought a package DON'T!!! Did you notice? They actually never used the word FREE cruise or FREE resort.
