UPS prepaid pickup

Have a new AC from homedepot that I'm returning. HD prepaid for return shipping and hired UPS for the job. 4 people living in my house, all work from home. HD couldn't tell me when UPS would arrive other than within 4 days… no problem… I work from home. UPS shows up three days later and drops off the tracking papers… no knock on door or doorbell. We see them getting in their truck but couldn't catch them… prepaid shipping… AC on front porch as I told HD it would be… UPS guy puts papers on top of AC BOX… I call UPS… tell them driver didn't take the AC… they said I should have been on porch to "hand them" the package… I tell them I was told they would arrive within 4 days and asked if they expected me to wait on the front porch for 4 days looking for the pickup… they said yes… that's our policy… I asked why the driver didn't let us know he arrived… they said it's not their job to notify me…This was "customer service" supervisor … asked to talk to their supervisor… he said there was no one else I could speak with… Just paid another $12 for pickup… still waiting on porch… it's cold and raining… would drop it off but just got out of knee surgery… no way o can deliver it… Good to see our UPS is running so well… like a fine tuned turd 💩
