UNABLE TO GET ORDER FILLED

Original review updated by user Oct 16, 2020 I am a "permanent:" Colostomy patient. It is mandatory that I have ALL my supplies for a 90 day period of time that I am entitled to according to my medical insurance. "Permanent" means just that. It is now October 16, 2020 and my supplies that were due to ship on October 8, 2020 have not shipped. Edgepark claims my order cannot be shipped until my physician provides "clinical notes". Every order Edgepark has some demands of my physician. The time goes by with me not having my supplies. The end result is I must then pay for the supplies via cash from other sources. I have yet to receive an entire order for my supplies since being a customer in early July 2020. My Account in Edgepark's system shows currently that I am not due supplies until January 2021. I have not received any supplies since July 2020. This means for the next months I will have to buy the supplies when they are covered by insurance. Additionally, the constant interrogation of my physician is unnecessary. I know of no physician that has the time to answer these questions that are sent over and over again. If I fail to change my Colostomy flange and pouch every 2 days as instructed I face getting infections. It sounds simple to change suppliers however there are not that many suppliers that carry Colostomy supplies covered by insurance and in the brands I need. Countless unnecessary letters; e-mails; phone calls have been sent or made to this company. This gets me no where. I have been very fortunate in that I have not had a return trip to the hospital in my situation with the lack of supplies and the unnecessary stress and anguish I have been under from this company. A permanent situation does not go away. The proper supplies are needed to ensure I am complying with my surgeon's instructions. Why is a company like this in business to cause a patient stress? Simply fill the orders as submitted by the physician minus the delays. Delays that result in no supplies at all. I am pissed. User's recommendation: DO NOT USE THE COMPANY.
