Turn around for request of referrals, consult notes and results.

I currently work for New York Presbryterian Queens and we have been seeing patient's from this group for the past 7 years now. It is our biggest headache. When we request referrals, there is no documentation of our call at their end therefore when we call back to inquire there is no record of our call. We have to keep calling to get referrals sent to us. We have our patient's contact the office in order to retrieve referrals and other medical records needed. All in all to many employees doing nothing. Staff needs to be inservice on customer care and turn aroung time for requested medical and referral documents. I have written lettes of complaint to Administrators and the have promissed to fix the problem but it has not worked. It is a great idea to have all these doctors on board but it is not helping with getting good reviews on patient care.
