Total Lack of Customer Care – Service

Last week we flew into Miami for a one week vacation. We used EconomyBookings for both a vehicle for the week and place to stay for one night. After booking, we received an e mail from the place we were staying that the credit card I had entered was invalid. We called them directly and determined it was the same card, same expiration date, and same code. We didn't hear anything from Budget Car rentals, so we assumed everything was ok. Boy were we surprised after standing in line for over an hour at the airport to find out that our reservation had been cancelled. What???? How could this happen? The airport rental cars were so busy, that car rentals had signs out saying, no vehicles without reservations. I called the credit card company to make sure that there wasn't a problem with my card or limit. There were none. We ended up renting a vehicle off airport that charged us over double what we would pay under economybooking.com. How could this happen and the booking company NEVER reached out to us stating the credit card had an "issue"?
