So I purchased two sofas from Jennifer Convertibles at Green Acres Mall Valley Streams. I was told prior to making my final decision that I will get a full refund as long as the furniture is not in my possession. Great! Well, before the furniture was delivered I told them that my building only allows delivery M-F 8-4pm. So, with that in mind, Jenifer Convertible decides to schedule my delivery on Friday, June 20 1:30-5:30pm. Fine, I thought, They will show at 1:30. Well, 7:15pm, I get a call from the driver to tell me he is on his way. Really? What part of the M-F 8-4pm did they not understand. Needless to say, we had to reschedule. Oh, did I me mention that I had to take a day off from work on Friday to wait for this delivery that never made it. Well, any way, we reschedule for today, Wednesday, June 20 for 8am because, yes they said. They acknowledge their error and promised that I will be placed first on the delivery list. So my boss understood and agreed to change my shift to 10am this morning. So, with that in mind, why did Jennifer Convertible schedule my delivery today for 3pm - 7pm? Because now i am a disgruntled customer, I've decided i no longer want the furniture so decided they can keep it. Remember when I mentioned prior to finalizing the purchased, I asked about cancellation policy and the sales rep said "sure as long as you do not have the items in your possession, you will get a full refund." well, i learned today he meant, within 48 hours from the day I made the purchase which was three weeks ago. So now if I cancel they will charge me 30% restocking fee plus $200 for THEIR troubles. which will amount to $700 according to their calculations. I feel like I was violated in the worst possible way. Honestly, they made a mistake and I paid for it. All I wanted was a sofa. I was so happy. I was so excited, i went out and bought lamps, and throws and even a new rug to welcome my new sofas home and Jennifer Convertible just violated me. And stole from me and bummed my joy. They took that away from me and are forcing me to take something I don't even want anymore. So for the rest of my life, for as long as I live here, I will have to come home, to the place I once considered my sanctuary, to the place that once brought me peace and joy and will forever be reminded of the torture they put me through. What's the point? All I can say is thank you , Jennifer. Thanks for nothing.
