There was about 6 inches of the table that had come out of the box. We noticed that when the box was sitting on our front steps. Seeing part of the table hanging over a step was disconcerting. We were assured by Home Depot that if we noticed any damage when we opened the box we would be able to return the table. Fortunately the table was not damaged. There was no cushioning of the table inside the end of the box where the table came out. The cardboard was not strong enough to hold the table in the box.
