The gentleman at the counter at check in was wonderful. However ...the room was awful! To start, you could still smell smoke from previous guests. However our main problems were with the room in general. 1) bed had stains and looked as if it had not been changed. There was also debris in the bed, looked like a mouse turd 2) the toilet did NOT flush. We had to take the lid off the back and lift the mechanism to flush it. 3) we had to clean the toilet as there was *** on the seat. 4) there was a roach crawling up the wall 5) the tub had hair and black goo in it as if it had not been properly cleaned. We were only going to sleep there for a few hours and was willing to pay the $62 for a couple of hours of sleep. Instead, we packed up within a half hour and no sleep. This was the most disgusting room to date I have ever stayed in. Would NEVER recommend Knights Inn. Especially at the location of St. George in S.C.
