Stabbed in back by Hyundai

I co-signed a loan for a Hyundai which got totaled in a crash. The gap insurance paid off the car and all seemed fine. This was in November 2019. I recently was looking over my credit report which was 814, when I noticed a $374.00 outstanding balance on the paid off total loss Hyundai. This is now June 2021. I wrote to Hyundai and inquired as to why there was an unpaid balance on a car I co-signed. Rather than write back with an explanation they contacted the credit bureau and reported late payments going back to November 2019, my credit score was dropped to 660. Im filing a complaint through the credit bureau. User's recommendation: Don’t do business with Hyundai.
