Spoiled milk before the expiration date. This is the second time this has happened to us in a 2 week period. The first time was when I purchased Publix brand 2% milk on July 15, 2021. The expiration date was marked "JUL 28 21" - Lot # "PLT 12-595 JUL 28 24878 F2 00:47". We opened it on July 16th and it was sour. I spoke with a sales associate/customer service desk at my local Publix here in Fort Myers, Fl and he allowed me to get another gallon free of charge. The second purchase of Publix brand 2% milk was made around July 28, 2021. The expiration date is marked "AUG 11 21" Lot # "PLT 12-595 AUG 11 24938 F2 01:10" I just opened it and it is sour. Both containers appear to have been filled at the same plant (???). Today, I will be returning this one to the local Publix where I purchased it from in Fort Myers, FL. I can honestly say, I have NEVER had an issue with their brand milk in the past 3 years that I have been shopping at this Publix. Someone needs to look into this or contact the plant. I can not be the only one who is experiencing this. When I brought to the attention of the first gallon to customer service I asked if anyone else had had this complaint. The gentleman said he has only known of one other person to complain of a spoiled gallon within the week. He did write down the exp date & lot number in case anyone else complained.
