Sole detatchingfrom fabric portion of the shoe

1

Went to Peru and hiked 7 hours in Matchu Pitchu in dry conditions and a second hike for 4 hours. The sole bottoms are not worn down but it is separating from the shoe. I have bought many Merrell Shoes and sandals but no more as their quality is no longer what it used to be. They lost a customer. They could have kept me for a hundred dollar replacement. They are losing much more than what the replacement would have cost. Also losing their reputation. It would serve them to read reviews and respond. Their silence speaks volumes.
