Severe diarrhea from Breakfast fruits

2

I am writing a 1-Star for the way they handled the following: **12/28 checked in, had breakfast next morning on 12/29. Saw very little fresh cut fruits left in the bowl, my kids and I are NOT a fan of fruits for breakfast, so we skipped. I told my husband it's the end of the bowl, fruits looked "tired" and sitting there too long. He scooped up the end of the fruit bowl, he said it tasts sour after first bite of cantaloupe. He then had a couple bites of honeydew but spitted out cuz it tasted sour!! He dumped all the remaining fruits. We went to downtown Napa after breakfast, soon after we arrived Napa my husband complained about stomach cramping, and had his first diarrhea within an hour after breakfast. He continued to have diarrhea and cramps all day, looking for bathroom everywhere we went in Napa Valley. He literally had diarrhea every hour so we decided to go back to hotel early so he can rest. My kids and I were ALL okay because none of us ate fruit cocktail that morning. After we went back to hotel, my husband talked to front desk about what happened. Suggested that they check the fruit bowl at morning, it could have been left out for too long, or guests might have scooped the fruits into their bowl and put back unwanted fruits with the same spoon that touched their plates. He just wanted the management to know about this, and let them know he had severe diarrhea after breakfast for ALL day. ---- Front desk person said he will let the manager know, and someone WILL get back to us. ---- NO ONE contacted us that night (Dec.29) ---- NO ONE contacted us next morning (Dec.30) ** We checked out on Dec.30, and my husband told front desk the 2nd time of his diarrhea. Front desk reassured us someone WILL DEFINITELY get back to us. It's been MORE THAN A MONTH and WE STILL HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM STAYBRIDGE! I am writing here to Sincerely tell the management, PLEASE check breakfast items that might be sitting there too long. Our Napa trip was ruined and we don't want this to happen to other guests. (We booked a 2-Bedroom suites AND a 1-Bedroom suites for two nights on Dec28, Dec.29.)
