As a contractor I spent money on many, many leads that I couldn't reach or would return my calls. The few I could contact had no realistic idea of what remodeling costs are. SM doesn't verify anything with these people. One lead I received said she already had a contractor! Also, a portion of these leads are recycled from weeks before and resold to contractors. I have verified this before by asking people when they contacted SM and it was "Oh, that was three weeks ago." Contractors: don't throw away your money with SM, they are the ultimate scam artists.
